How to apply a tempered glass screen protector?
If you have previous experiences with installing plastic screen protectors, you probably are not looking forward to this, even if it is about tempered glass ones. Plastic protectors for screens are notorious for being hard to put on, but you should know that tempered glass is not only sturdier, also being much easier to put on your smartphone. Here is what you need to know to do this operation without a hustle.
The first step to do is getting your phone ready to receive the tempered glass screen protector. If your phone has an old screen protector, you need to remove this first, revealing the original screen of the phone. Also, to better manipulate the phone, remove its protective case, if your phone has one on. The phone must be just like in the first day you got it, with no extra protective cases and screen protectors.
Before installing the tempered glass protector, you need to clean the phone’s screen. Any dust, finger prints, and grease that might have deposited on the screen should be removed, to make sure that the screen protector adheres properly. If the tempered glass screen protector comes with a special wet wipe and a cloth, you can use them to clean the screen. If not, you can use any spray that is made for cleaning smartphone displays, and use a cloth that is clean and very soft. First use the wet wipe or spray, being thorough when cleaning the screen, and finally use the cloth to remove any wet traces, so that the screen is clean and dry.
The tempered glass screen protector will come with a protective foil over its adhesive part, so make sure to remove this first. You will see a note saying which part to remove, so carefully peel that off, without touching the adhesive area with your fingers.
Careful take the screen protector by gently holding on to its sides, turn it with the adhesive part towards the screen of your phone, and use the two flaps, one at the top and one at the bottom, to position the tempered glass screen protector. Do not rush and do it very slow, to make sure you fit it properly right from the start. Once the protector is correctly positioned on your screen, remove the second protective foil from it, and gently press on its surface to remove any air bubbles that might be between the screen protector and the phone’s screen.
Once you are done with installing the tempered glass screen protector, you can put back on the phone’s case. Normally, there shouldn’t be any troubles with this part, because the screen protectors made out of tempered glass come with round corners, so they won’t stand out.
